pc blew up.

hey ok i overclocked my pc a lot. and my motherboard couldnt stand the voltage going into the processor and my motherboard popped and set on fire.

ok well my power suply unit (Hyper type r 580w) still lit up etc when i tryed to turn it on after my mobo went boom cause i didnt know what was up at first.

so if i get a whole new mobo etc will my power suply unit be ok to use again?

because it still lights up etc

Not worth the hassle.

If the PSU is damaged and you plug it into a new motherboard it could toast that one too

Best to be on the safe side and trash it. Strip out the fans if you want but make sure it can not be used again.
