This seems to be something at my end as its been happening on 3 PC's now.
But Bluetooth is just so unreliable.. Either I cant get My BOSE headphones to connect or theve connected once and now wont and I cant even unpair them. Or the same happens with my Sony headphones. But now I've just tried to play RDR2 and now my X box contoller wont connect. It'll see it. But keeps saying please try to connect again....

This has been on 2 x Dark hero MB and now my 7950x and ROG hero.. Maybe its an ASUS thing......

Buy a separate adapter and everything will work floorlessly. My Asus Hero bt is absolute pants and makes my pc blue screen sometimes it's that bad.

I've tried that too. ASUS gold BT 5.0 thingy
This may sound a bit silly but maybe try moving the pc to a different location to ensure you are not getting some sort of interference.

Other than that I'm not really sure what else to suggest. If you have bought a completely different adapter and moved location it's a bit of a mystery. Unless of course you have installed the new adapter but you are still trying to connect to the built in Bluetooth. Have you disabled the onboard Bluetooth in device manager?

Are you using WiFi on all machines? If so is the BT receiver near the Wi-Fi antenna(e)?

I've had a few instances of WiFi interference with Bluetooth. Move the BT receiver away from WiFi signals and see if it becomes more reliable.

I recall having difficulty connecting my Xbox controller to my PC and having to do something. I'll see if I can find out what I did. Has been fine since though.

Bluetooth is trash.

To be fair the one on my PC isnt too bad, when I say that, my Asus BT dongle, the onboard bluetooth is terrible.

However, I have a few bluetooth speaker devices I cannot with my phone and I am always having issues with those.
