PC bluetooth to HiFi not working?

I have a HiFi system that can play music via Bluetooth and I have done with my smartphone.

However I want to play music from my PC but I would have to lay an audio cable across the ground which I do not want to do.

I have gone out and bought a Bluetooth adapter which is capable of sending and receiving Bluetooth signals. However I have no idea how to get it to send a signal to my HiFi system. The device is working and I can configure it via Windows but it does not show up in my playback devices.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do?

Stupid me didn't bother to add the speakers as a new device... got it working now. Although it wouldn't pair the first few times which indicates the adapter may be a bit naff, you get what you pay for I guess.
