PC Boot Issues, Anyone able to help?

Hi

I have 3 machines here which are all identical in terms of parts but one machine has booting issues, sometimes when the machine has been switched off overnight and you go to turn it on the next day the system will power up for 2/3 seconds, then power down, it then powers up for 2/3 seconds again and powers down and does this 'loop' indefinatly, it doesnt even reach POST on the board.

Now the power up only lasts long enough to get the fan spinning then it stops and starts over again, removing the 8-pin power connector from the motherboard results in it staying powered up but nothing working. Ive tried unplugging every item from the board except CPU, Memory and GFX card and it still does it.

It will eventually boot after playing around but the 'playing' hasnt resulted in me finding any single cause so far, last time the machine booted after having the SATA power and 8 pin power unplugged, the machine 'booted' for 30 seconds, then turned off and the power leads reconnected. The time before it worked after having the ATX power lead taken off and reconnected.

Any ideas? Im just glad its not my main pc! Specs below

Thanks
Mike

Hi

I have tried multiple combinations of memory, even swapped memory out of one of the other machines (although its still corsair dominator c4 800), ive reset the hsf multiple times although temperature has never been an issue, as I said the only thing which seems to make it play say is messing around with power leads.

Could this indicate a faulty psu? if so its my first faulty tagan yey (ive used over 50 of them!)

Regards
Mike

Hi

Ive flashed the BIOS to latest revision F8, tried different memory and checked all leads and connections, I will try and locate a different PSU to test the tagan on the machine.

Thanks
Mike
