My main PC, started going a bit strange yesterday - and got a bit worse today so decided to backup all my files from it to my 2nd PC over the network.

Over 80GB of stuff to transfer was going to take a while - so i cancelled the transfer and it just went nuts - one of the svchost.exe files started taking 99% of cpu usage.

So i shutdown the pc, and restarted, got past the boot screen and just as it would show the welcome screen it switches off the drives. PANIC.

Tried booting into safe mode which worked. - so i shutdown again.

Took the IDE drive out of my 2nd PC, and connected it to the main PC. Idea was once i go it into safe mode i could just transfer files across from the min drives to the ide drive.

But even though the main PC is set in the BIOS to boot from SATA Raid it keeps booting from the IDE drive which isnt what i want.

Anyone know how get around this - (boot as it should from the 2 sata raid drives so i can get into safe mode and transfer the files across onto the ide drive.)
