PC boots into black screen with mouse cursor

Hi Guys,

Im in an awful situation where my pc boots, the monitor works and everything but i get a black screen with a mouse cursor that im unable to move.( keyboard and mouse does'nt work).

Ive tried ctrl alt del, also alt f4 and alt tab, nothing.

Ive replaced my 2032 and nothing.

Rebooted a million times and nothing, ive also tried all the f8, f2, f12 tricks and still nothing.

Its almost as if its gone into bios and just freezes. This happened when i went into bios before manually (before my pc broke today) my friend says its my motherboard so ive just ordered a new motherboard.

It is worth noting i have a mini gigabyte motherboard with quite a lot of components plugged into it, Radeon Rx480, watercooling, 4 fans, 2 hdd, and also a 650W Power supply.

Any help?

also i dont have an optical drive in my case and my hdd came with windows 10 pre loaded so i cant re-install it(i couldnt anyway because of the BIOS freezing and mouse and keyboard not working)

Unplug all USB Devices apart from keyboard and try booting, sometimes things like controllers etc can disrupt it.

Need come clarification - when you say black screen with a cursor, you mean the BIOS screen or pre-windows desktop screen?

If the BIOS screen, unplug everything USB all bar mouse and keyboard - what happens?

List our your hardware too

Ive just done that and still nothing.. Im not sure also because the screen just goes black with the cursor. I think its the bios because everything gets downscaled and the quality goes down also.

Does the cursor blink? (Like a flat rectangle in the top left)

Have you tried resetting your CMOS?

My motherboard doesnt seem to have a cmos jumper, however i changed the battery this morning and still nothing.

Try taking out the GPU and running it from integrated graphics. Any difference there?

Still nothing, same black screen with cursor... Whats the likelihood of it being my motherboard?
