Pc boots to windows but wont to windows 10 when i change the drive

I put windows 10 on a drive for my new (old / used) pc.
the pc boots fine into vista but when I try the other drive it says invalid partition tables and wont get past it.
but the windows 10 is fine on the drive, do i need to change the style of drive i put windows 10 on?

Did you install Windows 10 on the new drive or just copy a Windows 10 image to it?

If the latter it won't work.

i installed it properly (fresh from the usb tool)

How do you know it's fine on the drive if it won't boot?

Did you leave other drives connected while installing Win 10, I ask because it has a bad habit of placing the set up partitions on those other drive.

Ideally unplug all but the drive you are installing to.

I tried the drive on another pc and it loaded fine but wouldnt on the first
