PC Borked Help needed

Need help guys with my old system that has been running fine for years but now won't even get to Bios screen. It starts then stops then starts again but nothing on monitor at all, no green light nowt, also get no light on my Kb, everything is just dead but with the system running.
Things tried so far.
CMOS battery out.
Unplugged and held contact to discharge any Leccy.
Stripped gfx card cleaned reinstalled and tried other outlet.
Tried it with 1 stick of ram, different slots etc
Swore at it cursed it and bashed it about a bit.
Stumped. :(

Any help is greatly appreciated, cheers for reading.
 
Have you tried replacing CMOS, battery? As your system is a few years old might just be flat? It's cheap and easy to swap. But to be honest it's sounds like it could possibly be power supply???

I'm sure others will be along soon with suggestions.. Maybe swear at it a bit more while you're waiting, it works from me..;):)
