PC broken :<

Hi,
My heatsink was making a bit of a racket, so I removed it to clean it etc.
In the process of this, the CPU came out too, as it was stuck on it.
Long story short, I managed to proceed to break off one CPU pin and bend half a dozen more.
The computer would not start.
So I have just installed a replacment CPU.
However, I the PC does not get past the ASUS Logo during boot.
What could be wrong?
I have an ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe.

What CPU are you trying to fit? Are you sure its compatible? If it is then Id have to suspect you also damaged your mobo when you damaged the CPU

Its a SCT:478 / P4 3Ghz (both cpu's the same)

There should be a jumper on the board or remove the battery for 10 minutes.
