i have got a dedicated gfx card but i installed the drivers off the disc i shall go update them now and see what happens. this crash occurs when im not doing anything on the pc maybe just listening to music and the one that happened just before was when i was running WoW

i have an asus eah5450 card and how do i disable the onboard in the bios? it works fine just firing it up from the pci gfx and then running stuff from that

ok i have just turned that off and whilst downloading my driver for gfx card it bsod'd again should i tke out gfx card and boot from the onboard to see if that is causing a problem?

ok but if it is the gfx card would i still get returns on it as my dad bought me it for xmas and it has only been in my machine a week and has been causing some idle bsod's for a qhile

my dad also said it could be a software issue is it worth putting w7 on instead of vista and then trying my gfx card?

so ive got it going through my onboard grapgics but it wont go to the right resolution for my 1080p tv. i have a w7 disc already but its only a 32bit one and i have 4gb of ram
is this a problem?

ok looks like that is my next thing as my onboard can only put out 1280x1024 and my 40" screen looks wierd at this res. so if i was to put w7 on and get latest drivers for my card would i hopefully not get a bsod off the card? its been going fine since i took the card out so i supsect old drivers where preventing it from doing anything? would it also allow me to downgrade 64bit to 32bit?

ok if i install w7 and then put in my graphics card and get the latest driver should i be able to get the hd resolution again sorry for all questions this is my first decent pc and i dont want to break it
