What is your budget for this build? and do you do any 3d rendering/video editing?

If not you can swap the i7 2600k for an i5 2500k as the i7 only makes a difference in rendering/editing programs that make use of the hyper threading.

was looking about 1000-1200 pounds. am only using it for high end gaming. no video editing so swapping might be a good idea. if it makes no difference

- The PSU is inadequate for a 580, anf there are better quality PSUs.
- The processor cooler is only good for a stock cooler replacement, not for noticeable overclocks.
- weird case. Any reason for that particular one, and how much?
- you have 10666 RAM. Get 12800C9 RAM at least.
- The sabertooth is all right, but there are better choices.
- For the GPU, it depends on your budget.
- Do you REALLY need 3 TB? It's a green drive, therefore slow.
- Why that sound card? I tend to steer clear of Creative, and would probably recommend a Asus Xonar DG.

If you have a budget, that would help. :) There are probably a few things we could fix.

OK, £1200. You can have a top gaming build for that dough.

allright am going to look into this. will post a updated build soon.
The case is nothing special i really dont care about that . more what is in it

Build looks pretty good. I would however suggest ram rated at 1600Mhz instead of 1333Mhz. It makes a difference and is still really cheap.

Also, you would probably benefit from an SSD, perhaps a OCZ Vertex 3 or Crucial M4, as it looks like your budget would stretch to that. The benefits of SSDs speak for themselves.

Here is a build similar to one I have just built my self for the same reason.

I put in a GTX570 as I get the impression you prefer nvidea?

Added the SSD as it will make loading windows faster and a few programs/games you put on there. The £130 for a 3TB drive seems crazy when you can get 2x 2TB drives for about £100

The case is a personal preference things really, I only got the 932 because it "High Air Flow" and has lots of room to work in.

and all sorts of other denominations :) Post a build you like with a case you like, even if over budget, and we'll bring it down.

Not necessarily. 650W will be fine for any single GPU, I just thought I'd squeeze a xfire in the budget. I just glanced over your build too fast.

The option is replace xfire with a good SSD. But if considering Xfire in the future, then you'll need a stronger PSU.
