PC build final decision? Will it work?

I think I have made my final decision now. What are your thoughts on the build below?

Edit: Build changed, seen post #11 below.

it wasn't a prob cause i have several other computers but if this is going to be your only machine, read up on the proceedure first and prepare

So, you suggest I have the BIOS update on a USB stick; have the pc built complete; boot up with USB stick plugged in and then update the BIOS.

But won't the PC complain that it doesn't recognise the CPU before that stage?

Edit: Maybe I should just go for the Asus P5E instead?

500GB Maxtor
Win XP (bought already)

Only change I would suggest would be a Samsung Spinpoint instead of Maxtor, simply because I have had bad experience after bad experience with Maxtor drives.

Your P5K is using the Intel P35 chipset. The P5E3 I want to get uses the X38 chipset and DDR3 ram. So I guess it is a step up.

Just looking for the Samsung Spinpoint HDD, might change to the 750GB number with 32MB cache.
