PC Build for Xplane and MS Flight Sim 2020 Advice Needed

Hi all,

Not posted here for well over 10 years but am looking to get back into Xplane flight sim and maybe MS Flight Sim 2020 and am in need of advice to either build my own tower or buy one pre built.

Budget wise am not sure yet maybe around £800 mark.

Probably go with this for a FS20 build, just about make it do'able with £800.

32GB RAM in there as well, as the consensus seems FS20 will most definitely use it.

change the case if you can , Acrylic ones scratch very easily. I tried FS2020 last night and used around 12gb RAM @ 1440p

1660 Super should be fine, remember 30fps is enough.

If you had 32GB it'll use more for a smoother experience.

the above GPU test on guru3D, also did a RAM test and said it made no difference.. that said if you can afford it get 32

A lot cheaper? Sorta but at cost of lower performance mostly. The current build suggestion is just a solid bang for buck 1080p build...

You could shave £80 if wanna cheap out and get a Ryzen 3100 cpu, another £30 for a non modular psu, £40 less on a 16GB RAM kit, £40 less and get a 500GB SSD etc.

Have you seen Xplane, without addons? You'll end up spending whatever you save, and more, in making it comparable.
