Hi all,

I'm very interested in building a new Rig, i know my 5930K is fine for my needs, but had it since 2014, fancy something new smaller & updated can always find a use for the old rig.

budget: £2000
Do not need:
GPU (1080ti Aorus)
any peripherals

Use:
Gaming

Theme i would like: Stealth, black/grey

Other requirements
Silent Build,Professional look
small/ maybe Midi Tower

Hi

The i7 5930K is still a very capable cpu. You are not going to see a massive difference switching to Ryzen if you are just gaming.

If you insist on changing:

The Fractal case you have selected doesn't have a window. There is a windowed version available. Otherwise no point going with a colour scheme.

If you go with the BeQuiet Silent Loop cooler you will need to remove the top panels on the case. If you want to leave them on then you should be able to put the rad in the front as it supports 280mm.

You won't need 32GB Ram. For a gaming pc 16GB is enough.

You probably don't need the extra fans. The ones on the BeQuiet cooler are quiet, as are the ones pre-installed in the case.

i know about the CPU, Not sure on Ryzen or a 69XX for a small perf boost. the main reason of this build is to go smaller. (currently using EATX)

I always wanted a stealth look & the point of the fractal case was to be extreme silence.
Ram wise, i agree their
extra fans was too replace the fractel fans which are not PWM, so you cant control them

You are not really dropping down in size though by going from EATX to ATX. The only difference in the motherboards is that EATX is a bit wider. Some ATX cases will even fit an EATX board. As they are wider though they can cover the cable routing holes in the case.

If you wanted a smaller case then micro ATX or mini ITX are options. Not a huge choice with motherboards though.

So if the Fractal case is small enough for you, then why not just buy an ATX X99 board and move your existing stuff over to it ?

These are all ATX. The Asus X99-A II is the only one not showing in stock.
