hi guys just looking to build a new pc and want some advice.so im looking to build one for about £600.the first build ive been looking at.

i5 4670k haswell-£160
asrock z87 extreme 4-£90
hd 7850-£115
850w power supply for about £100 to £150 but don't know which one to go for so if someone could rec1 to me.
8gb vengeance ram-£60
don't no a case yet or hardrive.


Been looking at some reviews on the net a lot of mixed reviews about going for the haswell.

The second build.

i5 3570k-£160
asrock z77 extreme 6-£100
and all the other stuff same as the first build.

so some advice would be much appreciated and thanx for your time in advance.

As you can see the intel build lacks an SSD, however one can easily be added at a later date :)
 
so you rec go for the haswell build instead of the ivy bridge build its just that ive heard the haswell gain to much heat.

Yeah no reason to go ivy over Haswell. As for the i5 v the fx6300 option above....both are good value for the money.
 
Yep, Haswell over IB everytime, the heat only comes if you start running lots of volts through it, and it's not like Piledriver is a fridge. :P

I'd personally go for the Intel build over the AMD one, simply for the upgrade path later on and at this level it seems silly not to :)
