Guys im not the greatest when it comes to pc specs and building but id like your opinion on a few things as im such a novice.

Im looking at building a new 'gaming' pc, a friend of mine built a simular and he loves it.

Im looking at these parts, im hopeing they go together and function ok if someone could confirm?

EVGA GeForce GTX 780 SC ACX Superclock 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £419.99
ReFlex MSI Z97 - Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.4GHz Configurable Gaming Bundle £449.99
Corsair Carbide 500R Midi Tower Case - Black/White £94.99
Corsair CS650M 650W Semi-Modular 80+ GOLD Certified Power Supply £67.99
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache £57.98.

Is this a high end gaming pc? and will it last me for the coming say 5 years?

many thanks guys

Total : £1,081.50 (includes shipping : £8.00).

What sort of budget do you have ? Your list comes in at roughly £1090 so I tried to keep it the same.

If you are just gaming, you could opt for an i5 instead. If you want the cpu to last then go for the i7 if it fits in your budget.

The Phanteks is a very nice case, and you get a lot for your money. There is also a windowed version, but it is out of stock at the moment.

The Sapphire Vapor-X is a very good gpu. It will easily trade blows with a GTX 780. It also has one of the best aftermarket coolers.

The Superflower psu is far better than the Corsair CS.

Added an SSD which you can put the o/s on and some games. They are a lot faster than a standard hard drive. The 1TB HDD can be used as a storage drive.

Do you need a copy of windows ? And do you need a dvd drive ? as they were not in your list.

Gigabyte are also doing cashback on some of their boards. You can get £30 off the board/cpu bundle in the link below.
