LIAN LI PC-C50B SD Card Reader Not Working

Hi,

I've had my LIAN LI PC-C50 B case for a few months now and have treid everything i can think of to try and get the SD card reader working but to no avail.

I've got an ASUS P8P67-M PRO motherboard, and the cable from the card reader is plugged into one of the USB headers on the baord. The light is on, but inserting a card does nothing and I can't find the card reader in device manager (Windows 7). I've tried plugging it into a couple of different headers, but others either produce the same result or not even the light is on.

I've also tried updating drivers for everything in device manager incase it was something labelled generically.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,

RObin

if you are running windows 7 then i had the same problem.

my old thermaltake v9 case had a 3.25 slot in it, so i added a card reader and windows 7 would not take SD cards, only the usb port on it worked...

i think its a problem with win7 itself... there are no drivers for them either which makes them kind of gay

As i said inserting a card does nothing (no change to LED or on computer). Tried 3 different cards that I know work from 512MB-8GB.

Was teh card reader you used a Lian Li one or another make? It would seem very odd that windows 7 would not support it in principle as they are still being used on many current products.

I can confirm that Windows 7 DOES detect card readers as I use one at work and it works fine :). Does the PC detect it if you plug in a USB device? May want to check the in the BIOS, to see if there is anything to do with the USB headers and type supported etc.

As always, SenZ comes up with something.

You know it happened to me steven anyways, the amount of times I tried to get mine working.
