Pc case from scratch

I've been interested in making a pc case from scratch for a while as my current case (cit vantage warlord..or something) is shoddy and feels too snaked and cramped which also will affect the cooling.
I have looked at cases especially bitfenix however they usually have a few features I like yet do not tick all my boxes.
I have found some parts however I need help on how to start as I'm completely lost and can't find a tutorial...

I have a few questions...what tools should I use as I'll have to buy or rent them and can anyone give me a link to a tooless hdd/ssd rack as I'm struggling to find one

I want it to be minimalist yet have tonnes of features, and no plastic so guess it's aluminium. Thanks for the advice
