Be interested in people’s thoughts as its more or less what I have in mind for a new rig going from my current 2004 build I use daily. Early next year for me as I’m in no rush and I’m hoping after Christmas some of the prices have dipped.

I’m going 32GB Ram DDR4 and 500GB SSD, 2TB HDD and a more expensive CPU but it will be on an X99 board and happy to go with the 980Ti as I’m only gaming on 1080P 27” ASUS panel bought recently. As you can see with my 2004 build it owes me nothing and has been a good unit but I owe it to myself to splurge and anything to further future proof the new rig to last longer like more Ram, Bigger drives and decent GFX card I’ll do as I tend to keep them longer than most. It's even a big jump from win XP to 10 :D Well I hope it is:) I think it will cost me best part of £1500.

Good luck on your build.
