Hey Guys,

Just want to double check that these are compatible, if you can think of a component that could be better for the same or less price that would be good too. Only real thing I'm not to sure about is the motherboard, it was chosen due to the amount of USB slots that it has, no real interest in overclocking as this machine will only be used for basic office work along with some very old games being played.

Nice build, although, if your only playing old games, i would drop the 6870 and add in a 5450 depending on how much eye candy you want. As for the mobo, i have no idea mate. Not my strong point!
 
have a look at the ivy bridge Intel Core i5-3450 3.10GHz processor and some of the Z77 motherboards.

as mentioned depending on the games you play, maybe drop the 6870 to a 6850 or 6770.
