I'm currently experiencing a problem with my PC.

The problem is on switching the computer on the computer just constantly restarts itself every 1-2secs and doesnt boot at all or show any images on screen.

It will do this for a good 3-5mins and then it will suddenly show the ASUS motherboard logo and then continue to boot as normal.

Any advice is appreciated.

Try a CMOS reset first off. After that I would be inclined to think the issue is PSU related. What kind of PSU do you have and what is your system spec?

Thanks for reply.

Tried CMOS reset but unfortunately didn't resolve problem.

System specs are:

Core 2 Duo E6700 Processor
Asus P5NE-SLI Motherboard
6GB Corsair XMS2 DHX Memory
ATi Radeon 5770 1GB Graphics
Anten TruePower Trio 650W PSU

Well you have a decent PSU but it could still be faulty. I would seek to rule it out either by trying another if possible or testing your existing PSU. There's a guide here.

I'm going to take a leap here and blame the RAM.I've just fixed a system with almost exactly the same symptoms and it turned out to be both sticks of ram that had gone.

Try booting with 1 stick at a time,or better still, borrow some suitable ram and try that.
