PC control pad

Thanks mate for creating the thread, was going to post basically the same thing :) As much as I love the PS3 pad, I'll think I'll pick up a 360 controller for my PC, I've used 360 controllers before so I'm not totally unfamiliar with them, but just prefer the PS3 pad :)

I know there is a good amount of bad reviews but going to chance my arm and go for the Razer Onza (not the TE version) and hopefully I'll just have no issues :D

The pad is just going to be a temporary solution until I get more cash gathered up for a proper racing wheel.
 
Another option would be pc pads such as the ones made by Logitech.

I have a wireless rumble pad 2 that is basically a clone of a ps3 pad and it works brilliantly. A LOT of games instantly recognize it but a few need me to choose my button layouts, but no other configuring or messing about.

Games where it instantly works include Fifa, SF4, Arkham City to name a few.

The logitech F710 (wireless version), after some research it seems most review sites put this as the best 'wireless' controller on the PC so just got one myself as prefer ps3 layout anyway. Must say a fantasic controller, no regrets at all, win7 x64 picked it up straight away and so far worked on everything ive thrown at it, including emulators.
 
As above, any Xinput pad would also be fine although these may not work with older Dinput games.

I believe the Logitech pads are switchable?
 
Apparently the original old old XBox pad will also work with the PC, you just have to splice a USB plug on the end. Useful if you can find one in a skip or somewhere. It had a semi decent d-pad on it, compared to a PS3/2 pad.
 
I’m using a PS3 pad emulated as a 360 gamepad using motion in joy drivers but only as I’m too tight lol to purchase a 360 gamepad when I’ve got three PS3 pads sitting around from my PS3…

Works perfectly fine if you ask me, why spend out more for a 360 gamepad when you can just use what you’ve already got?
