pc crash but now showing these 2 vertical red bars?

Hmmm from the pic you seem to be using one cable to power the GPU.
As in its a twin PCI-E power cable it splits off.

I my self NEVER do this I use two PCI-E cables with a single connector and plug them into two seprate outputs on the PSU.Dont get me wrong I am sure in some cases its fine but I NEVER do it.

This is not likely the issue but might be worth a look incase one of the outputs of that cable are a bit iffy.

Try running two independant outputs from PSU into GPU.

But as said I am swaying more towards the ram on your GPU is deaded :(

thanks again, but i dont fully understand how u have your cables so i can try myself, do i need any extra cables ? not sure what i have lying around

also everytime i put the fan speed upto 100% after around 30mins it goes back down to about 40% on its own

i found one exact same model as mine for around £70 so i might just bite the dust and go for it. but i wanna thank u very much for all the help and advice i just didnt understand the wire setup you was talking about

I think what D.Roberts was saying is that you have 1 cable with 2 gfx power plugs
I think it is `better` to have 2 cables with 1 gfx plug on each cable :)

yeah basicaly instead of powering a GPU that reqiures x2 power inputs with just one cable from PSU (in your case)
I prefer to power it using x2 power cables.

TBH its not always a problem but can help stability etc.

I cant remember who it was Linus? but he did benchmarks using one cable and then two he gained a little performance in benchmarks.
