PC crash problem - Dead Space 3

Just built up a new pc, and decided to try out dead space 3...seems ok so far.
Everything works really well up until one specific scene, then I get a crash.
No blue screen, no warning, just black and silence at the same place every time I try it.

The only way to get everything back on is to switch mains off and on again, (MB LEDs still on green after crash).

Ran a recommended benchmark to test the pcs stability and it sailed through, so am I right in thinking this is an issue with the game itself, and has anyone else had anything similar?

Have you tried repairing the install? usually that fixes most crashes like that.

Iv had the same problem with crysis 3 done the repair and that seems to of fixed it.

The repair seems to have fixed it(for now)!

Although origin reported no corrupt/ missing files?

Doesn't generally have to but any time a game crashes randomly especially at the same spot the first thing anyone should do is verify/repair files on either Steam or Origin.

It's a great game glad you fixed it.

Scratch that, just had it again, 2 minutes further in!

Maybe It'll just take me a while to complete..

Have you got any other demanding games to test like BF3/Shogun 2/Witcher 2/Metro 2033/Crysis 3? ....see if it black screens in those and if it does it might be psu related.(might be best to ask on general hardware section here as some very knowledgeable people there)

Got a copy of Metro somewhere so I'll give that a go, I've put it through some benchmarks and it's had no problem, lovely and stable the whole way through so I'm thinking it's something in-game.
I'll give the hardware section a go just in case though, thanks for the help.
