pc crashed while partitioning = corrupt drive

i was partitioning a drive and my pc crashed

now i get a "E:/ is not accessible, The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable"

is there anyway to get the data from the drive still?

its not the drive windows runs from

Forgive me if I've got this all wrong..

If you were patitoning the drive then you've lost your data anyway :confused: Only something like Norton Ghost or Acronis whatever can dynamically change partitions without you loosing your data.
If it's your boot drive then you've lost your boot capabilities and need to reinstall the OS :confused:

there is no need to reinstall any OS to regain the boot capability.

No always true. Data can still be recovered from a drive that has either been formatted or re-partioned. Until new data is written over the old data then it remains instact but not visible.
