PC crashing and I am not sure what is wrong

Hey!
I can't seem to figure out why my PC is crashing. No black/blue screen just a freeze and restart. I was away for sometime and started using my PC and noticed these random crashes.

It was in need of maintenance so I took it apart, cleaned it and put it all back together and it seems the frequency of these crashes have picked up  (clearly I am not the best at this). Still no particular pattern, crashes usually when I just have a couple of browser tabs open and Netflix but runs just fine when gaming for a while (which is weird).

No overclock that should make it crash either on the CPU (Auto in BIOS) or the GPU (only fan profile). RAM set to 3600 (it is rated for that), motherboard upto date for my CPU (Notification on asrock website suggests that an update is not needed for my cpu).

I keep seeing this in the event viewer logs:

Points towards a hardware problem I think? but idk where to begin in terms of steps to take. Can someone help me with this please?

Specs:

Asrock AB350 itx
16 GB RAM, 3600 mhz
1 TB Nvme SSD

I'd turn off XMP to begin with and go from there (run memory at 2666 or lower, 1.2v DRAM voltage)
Thanks @Tetras , I will try this and monitor.

Did you remove the CPU cooler? If so, did you reapply thermal paste? You can check temperatures regardless with hwmonitor
I did and I have re-applied thermal paste (possibly not too well because the mobo had a thermal protection thing turned on) However it should not matter if its turned on or off, Currently playing a game and this is what HW monitor shows when I export the data. 60 C is acceptable isn't it?:
Temperature 0 60 degC (139 degF) (Package (Node 0))
Voltage 0 1.08 Volts (CPU VDD)
Voltage 1 1.02 Volts (VID #0)
Voltage 2 1.01 Volts (VID #1)
Voltage 3 1.01 Volts (VID #2)
Voltage 4 1.01 Volts (VID #3)
Voltage 5 1.01 Volts (VID #4)
Voltage 6 1.01 Volts (VID #5)
Power 00 56.33 W (Package)
Power 01 4.37 W (Core #0)
Power 02 5.02 W (Core #1)
Power 03 4.08 W (Core #2)
Power 04 3.62 W (Core #3)
Power 05 3.92 W (Core #4)
Power 06 3.92 W (Core #5)
Power 07 25.38 W (Cores)

On the mobo I do not know what temp 6 and 8 are, I think these are showing max numbers because there isn't anything there to detect (these numbers never change)?
Hardware monitor Nuvoton NCT6792
Voltage 0 1.01 Volts [0x3F] (CPU VCORE)
Voltage 2 3.31 Volts [0xCF] (AVCC)

Hey @Haz123 , Built this PC, at the time it had a 8/16 GB generic RAM (there were mixed sticks) at 2400-2666mhz if I am remembering correctly, this current RAM is 16 GB at 3600 mhz corsair LPM. I will download prime95 and see where I stand.

@pastymuncher This is the BIOS version I have below. I know there are more version for my mobo but Asrock suggests to update if you have CPUs from another Ryzen family (Ie: I have maxed out the updates I can take for my Ryzen 1600, thats how I understand it atleast)

DMI BIOS
vendor American Megatrends Inc.
version P5.60
date 04/17/2019
ROM size 16384 KB

DMI Baseboard
vendor ASRock
model AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac
revision unknown

You think its related to this version?

It is not just the speed that may be the issue. Ryzen 1 was a pain in the booty and only liked specific ram. The AGESA updates have helped with compatability but it is still tempermental.

Like Tetras is saying above you need to diable XMP/DODC and check the system is stable at stock DDR4 settings and then experiment. I had a nightmare with a 1600 when it was first released and the ram would only work with very very specific settings. I hope your sweet spot is easier to find.

We are still not totally certain that the ram is the issue. Did your crashing problems start when you changed the ram?

Set the RAM to auto in BIOS and in CPUZ it has taken 2400mhz, crashes still happening. Well, not exactly when I switched RAM and even if it did it wasn't as frequent as it is now.

One step at a time and document each change, revert any change back if no difference is noted.

I would suggest a double check of cables and that any drives were plugged back in the same port.

Then google event 41 kernel.

This may be completely nothing to do with what your experiencing, but the specific part I will ask you look at is the initial basic Windows settings.

I say this because after a similar experience, where my lads pc was rebuilt with new drives and psu, with W10, we had these issues.
All hardware tested fine and worked in two seperate W10 rebuilds.

His PC is stable with zero issues as long as I think it was Sleep and Hibernate are disabled in Windows settings.

Like I say it may be nothing.
But it wont hurt to try looking at Windows settings.
I did matinenance on this not too long ago. Cleaning, thermal paste, removed cables and re-attached. It was crashing quite frequently before that as well. Cleaning was due so I thought that would fix whatever was happening but that does not seem to be the case. I'll go through kernel 41 steps here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/troubleshoot-event-id-41-restart
