Hi All,

Last week I was playing fm17 when my pc completely froze. I had to hard reset with the case button.
When I tried to log in to Windows again it just boots up past BIOS screen then it freezes on the windows logo with spinning dots.

I tried reinstalling windows and formatting hard drives. Setting BIOS back to default. Reinstalling drivers. I removed my GPU and booted up with integrated graphics from mobo hdmi out and the pc will work as normal. When I put my GPU back in the freezing issue returned. Does this point to a GPU problem. About 2 seconds after it freezes the monitor will go to loss of signal as if it isn't receiving video signal anymore.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just board, ram and hd, no other peripherals? I know it maybe a pain but maybe testing with another psu to rule out power delivery to the gfx card. But from what you describe id say gfx is toast :(

No problem. Only thing my friend lives far away so may be a problem to borrow from him. I was looking to upgrade my gpu anyway so maybe just wait til after Christmas and upgrade. If I need to buy a new psu also then so be it :D
