PC Crashing

Hi all

I have recently (feb) purchased the Titan Gamer Intel Core 2 DUO E6400 2.13GHz SILENT DDR2 System (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-034-OK&groupid=43&catid=781&subcat=) and have been having a few problems with it and i was looking for some help

Basically, when playing game the system sometimes decides to reboot, when it does reboot the system starts beeping and doesnt stop until the power is switched off.

When i first got the system it was crashing on neverwinter nights 2 and world of warcraft. i changed the drivers and all seemed to be fine but again the same problem is happening with command and conquer 3 and tonight, lord of the rings online.

I have the latest drivers for the card so im pretty much out of ideas what to do so any suggestions would be appreciated before i call into the store to see if they can sort it.

Mine does this when the CPU overheats. Try a re-seat with fresh thermal paste?

Also when the PC reboots and i send the error to microsoft it comes back saying that the driver for the gfx card has stopped responding.

Any other suggestions?

I think microsoft gives that error with any crashes!!!

Ive had a look around the net about the x1950xt pro gfx card and most people are saying the minimum power supply should be a 450w. This system came with a 380w power supply. could this be the problem?

Most people on here seem to go for power supply problems very early in the problem-solving process, and for good reason. So yes, it could.

Could be, although Antec PSU's are usually pretty solid. 380W is pushing it a bit tho - I would imagine OCUK are confident it's enough if that's what they've specced tho. It could be a faulty PSU. Another likely culprit is bad RAM - try running Memtest86 on the system and see what comes up. I would also just double check the RAM and video card are seated properly in the mobo - beeping often means one of the two isn't quite making contact.
