i had this problem when i baught it but sorted it when i upped the voltages on the ram (didnt read the note that came with my geil)
i ran orthot to check it was stable after doing this n it was 100% on both cores didnt crash or anything :)

but now...few months on n its doing it again, i did a bios update but i didnt get any message to say ti had completed all i got was a nice black screen, no hdd led activity or anything (it was a pain to get it to start up agen)

right now im not realy botherd al i play is css n it dusnt crash on that :)

it only seems to happen wen running orthos??? i'm not sure if its my cpu as but i had dabble in ai booster (learned my lesson, never do it again) but i got everything back to normal, upped my ram voltages to 2.1 (recommended) n its started crashing in orthos, im told bios updates can sometimes mess up but i duno what to do, can anyone help me...again??

my spec is:
E6600
2Gig of geil (not put the timings to 4-4-4-12, left em alone)
Asus P5B
Hiper type-r 580WATT
Radeon X1600PRO

i have it downloaded n everything, but how long should i let it run for??

last time i wasted most of my nite n there was nowt wrong

aight...i did it for not long i know but i got bored lol so decided to stop wen the last one had reched 100%, didnt crash at all, both my cores on 100% while it was running, mem useage (this is according to my G-15) was at 99%, n i got no errors al prolly run it longer wen i have more time :)
i got these:

im guessing this is a good result but i wudnt realy know, tis weird how it only crashes with orthos  this lasted a considurable amount of time longer, btw it only last 14 secs max on orthos lol

ok, i think i changed it, i was looking in bios n noticed the N.O.S mode was in auto, which everything was set to auto

i changed this to manual n it nocked my fsb to the default 266 auto n i belive i have my stock clocks back now :), ive also noticed the drop in temps (was wondering why they had gotten higher than usual) so thank you for noticing the clock speed m8 very much appreciated!!
