PC Dead

Apologies if this is the wrong section.

Was on the last night until midnight with no bother, can't to turn on the PF today and it's dead. I hit the power button and it lights up for a second and the fans start before it dies.

I know this is a little vague but any ideas what it could be?

What were you doing at the time? Spec of the PC?

Try,

ClearCMOS.

Using one stick of RAM in all the slots, then the other stick of RAM if you have one.

Using the basics to get it running, disconnect all drives etc.

Tried that and nothing worked.

Go any spare parts to swap? any helpful friends with PC's?

Reseat everything.

Sounds like it may be memory or motherboard, rookie opinion though, there is a system check post on this site if that helps.
