Not sure if this is the right forum, and obviously ocuk don't sell such a thing, but was wondering if any of you have bought a decent desk lately? Looking for something that will house 2 x 27" monitors.

I've been hunting everywhere but choice is gash (where I've looked anyway).

I have this tabletop with 2 legs and this unit.

Legs and drawers should be the same height and obviously get your colours to match

Should come in at around £90 for a 2 metre wide desk.

I didn't think about separates. That table top in the photo looks like 1.2 or 1.5 metres. It's it really 2 metres?

Ikea are breaking my heart. Having decided on 2 units with a table top across just like Peter's... I then realise delivery is going to cost another 30%. £30!

I went and picked it up myself! Only an hour away plus I managed to look round and grab a few extras

I'm only 20 mins away, but my VW Golf won't take a 2m desktop!

I'm planning on doing the same thing.You would have to secure the drawer units.

By the way, while reading various reviews of desks I was really surprised by the amount of people that also call them draw units instead of drawer units. What is that all about!

If I were you I'd buy a length of kitchen work top and cut it to size.

I suppose I could still get a top cut to size and use legs from ikea, as long as the finish doesn't look home made.

Yes. B&Q will cut to size, but I'm not sure if their price for the top is competitive but it can't be much more I wouldn't think.

You could screw it to the slim drawer stacks, one each side, and this will store all your bits and bobs. This way, you're not affecting the decor.
