Pc died

I bought the components for a brand new pc just recently, and after assembling the pc everything worked fine. The case is an antec sonata II with the 450w PSU.

Anyway, after a weeks worth of use, the thing has died. Upon shutting down the computer one evening it was left to shut down automatically after the windows updates. The next morning when trying to turn it back on again, nothing. Absolutely nothing at all, the whole thing just isn't powering up.

How would I go about troubleshooting this to establish for sure what the problem is. Is it the psu? the power switch itself? Has the mobo gone?

Suggestions please :D

If nothing is going on, i.e. including any lights or fans spinning, its likely the PSU has died. Any chance you can borrow another to test? Alternatively bite the bullet & buy another one (suggest this) :)

Power supply testers can be bought for a tenner from a variety of stores.

You can also test the PSU by shorting the pins. Google will help you there.
