PC doesn't start.

Hi,

Got new upgrade today which was Asus Maximums V Gene. Installed, all works fine except PC doesn't start.

CPU cooler fans is working on full load,normally when windows starts to load up, it decreases fan speed (I've got H100) doesn't do it now.
Case fans are lighting like Christmas Tree and spinning as normal.
Motherboard indicates that is ON and works.
GPU both lights are GREEN.
Monitor keeps flashing even when GPU is connected.
No BEEP's happen.


One thing I noticed was that HDD which is F3 1TB runs for around 6 seconds so the case light is constantly on and then dissapears. Normally when windows loads that light is flashing as HDD is reading information to boot up. In this situation HDD just flashes for 6 seconds and goes off. PC restarts after around 30sec-1min aprx and then the same thing again...

Any options?
I'm thinking that HDD might not be connected properly.

A few things to check,

• ClearCMOS
• Is the 8pin ATX plugged in near the CPU?
• Use the bare minimum (onboard GFX, single stick of RAM, no drives)
• Tried the MEM OK button? (if it has it)

8pin connecter is connected into right side input - got two of them one is P2 and other P3 (Antec 1200)
 
Either one is fine, some boards do need a pair of 8pin ATX/EPS plugs.

Is the front panel buttons connected correctly? try using a flat blade screwdriver to short the two pins that the power button connects too.

Power button working properly.
Restarts are working if thats what you mean.

Did what you said. Still the same :/
