Hi all,

I have recently built a PC with the following specs:

i5 12600k
MSI - Z690-PRO WIFI
Kingston Hyper X Fury 3600Mhz 32GB
Gigabyte Geforce 3070ti
PSU - Corsair RM850 Gold

What i am finding is that if the PC powers down due to inactivity, if i power it back on the EZ Debug LED sticks on CPU and fails to power up.

If i just kill power and turn it back on it works fine without any issues, could anyone point me in the right direction here?

The PC is running flawlessly in operation just this problem when it goes into sleep mode.

Check for a bios update for your motherboard .

Disable sleep mode and all your problems will go away. Sleep mode can be problematic at times and with it being a desktop saving battery is not critical, good for the enviroment but not essential.

Intel are always changing the low power sleep states on their cpus so at times certain psus can find it hard to deal with them. Not heard of the RM series having issues with the low power states but it may be worth checking if you can change the psu to the newer RMx.

Updating BIOS is of course always a good place to start. Do a repair of windows as well.

appreciate the response, i wont be changing the PSU - i only bought it 2 weeks ago on the advice of OC for my build :)

i have turned off the sleep mode for now and will try to update the BIOS later. if it continues will take off the cooler and check the pins when i get some more thermal paste.

Had the same issue on an older intel system with a heavy overclock that wasn't quite as stable as i thought, longer it slept the less likely it was to wake from sleep, may or not be relevant.
