I've got a GA-965P along with a 8800GTX and a Corsair 620W PSU. The computer just fails to boot (no signal etc). I've disconnected the RAM, HDD and all devices and it still does the same. I don't get any beeps or anything. I can only assume it is the Motherboard? I've tried 2 PSUs, too.

Hi, thanks for the replies so far.

The CPU fans spin up but no signal or no beeps.

Out of interest, I've only connected the 24v connector to the motherboard. I've noticed that there are other power sockets. Do they have to have a PSU cable plugged into them?

I'll try pulling out the Gfx and putting it back in. I'll also try manually booting the motherboard. I've recently misplaced the mobo battery - will this cause any booting issues?

Hi guys,

Well I've just tried a new IP35 motherboard and still it fails to boot. I've removed all HDDs, RAM and even the GFX and it fails to post. I've tried 2 PSUs. CPU?

Hi there,

I am using a Corsair 620W I believe it is. And I've also got a Hyper TypeR (?) 550w.

I am using the 8-pin connector..

I'll rip the motherboard out of the case and try it on the table..
