Hi there.

PC was working fine on friday night, come saturday evening I turn it on, but their is no display on my screen, i then notice the HD light stays on constantly, and the motherboard isnt making any normal or warning beeps.

The motherboard is an Asus P4P800 SE agp ( yes yes I know its an oldy :) )

I tried resetting the cmos, also changed the battery with no luck, I unplugged everything aswell and still nothing.

Tried a difference graphics card as well, I did try another PSU but for some reason that would only power the pc for a split second?

I did notice it seems the fan on the graphics card (powered by seperate 3 pin plug, which goes into the motherboard) didnt even spin, so seems power isnt getting through the entire board.

Im wondering if anyone has any idea's on this before i go and order a used p4p800 motherboard :)

Thanks for any help

Sounds like your motherboard is borked mate, had a similar problem with a friends computer. First thought it wasa faulty PSU, replaced that. Still no improvement, replaced the motherboard, problem solved.

yeah faulty mobo does make a lot of sense so far, just so wierd how it works fine one day then the next it breaks :O
