Hi,

So I have been slogging through with the following build, but it's finally bitten the dust.
Q6600
Asus P5k
Asus 5970
Intel X25-m
4GB RAM
Couple of older 1TB Drives
Windows 7

Anyway, yesterday, it randomly turned off, turning back on, it couldn't read any drive as a boot drive (SSD + backup Windows Xp on an older drive), after playing with BIOS settings to make sure all was correct, it now no longer turns on.

So assuming the Power Supply and Mobo could be gone, it's time for a new build.

With approx £1000 to spend and I already have monitor, peripherals etc, what are your thoughts. It's purely used for gaming.

Would you keep the older gfx card and simply change mobo, psu, cpu and ram?

Cheers,
