After around two years of trying to get my PC to work, i would like to fix it once and for all and would like some advice before wasting my money all over again if that's possible.
The first problem i encountered was some faulty ram, which caused endless problems with games. Easily enough fixed.
Next i got an upgrade from an amd athlon x4 to the AMD phenom x6 1100t, during lots of games i think i heard what was coil whine and the PC still did not seem to work right, i thought maybe the sound was connected so it took it to a professional PC shop, they tested it with prime95 and the whole thing shutdown and would not start, they thought it was a problem with an individual part so they replaced each one in turn, no luck. They ordered a new motherboard, still nothing. They ordered one more and this one for some reason worked. They wanted it out of their hands as soon as they could. So now i have it back and it performs terribly. On most games it stutters horribly skyrim is unplayable, sleeping dogs crashes after 5 minutes and the PC should be able to play all of these games so i don't whats wrong. I have now replaced almost every part in the PC apart from the GPU so thats where im looking now. I'm looking at the Sapphire 11197-12-40G HD7970 3GB Vapor-X Graphics Card. I figured perhaps AMD prodcts may work better tograther.

If i get this fixed i would like to be able to run crysis 3 on the highest settings, so i was wondering if its possible to overclock the current cpu i have and the new graphics card i get. Thank you for any help it is greatly appreciated.
