Another vote for PES5. FIFA hasn't changed much since FIFA 2000. You could say PES hasn't changed much as well but it was perfect to start with and is 10x better than anything EA has managed to come up with

FIFA 06 changed a lot from 05, they made the AI much better... still a bit too easy though...
they got rid of that stupid 1,2,3 thing they had in 05 where corners and free kicks pretty much instantly went to whichever button you pressed...

ball isn't glued to your feet either anymore

haven't played PES since the days of "International Super Star Soccer: Deluxe!" on the SEGA MegaDrive II

The superpatch changes all teams & players,stadiums etc to the correct names.It even has a gfx tweaker in it,so your can sharpen up the gfx.Has a new layout for the menu's ,music has all been changed,too many things to list

It's a big patch,something like 600MB,but well worth it.You can get it from PES Insight

I don't know about your preferences but personally I found it a lot better to play using a gamepad instead of the keyboard when playing on PC, so if you don't get on well with it using keyboard it may be worth investing in a gamepad (if you don't have one already)

does pes5 play better with a ps2 pad or will the keyboard do, becasue ive just ordered one of those ps2 to pc things

you can play online with the patch. If the other person doesn't have it then you will have to use the default kits and names. But you will still be able to play online fine.
