pc for embroidery design

Hi my nephew does embroidery designs and atm uses a 4-year-old laptop for this, now he has asked me to find out about upgrading to a pc for this and i don't know where to start he needs to be able to alter/design images to output to his machines and that's as far as i got, i told him to go to software sites to see if there is recommended spec but that all the help i could give, so any help i can get here ?

Talk to him again as you need to know What software he intends to use ,hence getting system requirements

Or is he looking at you to come up with a software ?

Check the specs of his laptop.

Thanks he is out atm and just called me to try and find out, he has all the software I think it’s just to stop using the laptop and get better resolution when editing designs. Will have a talk to him later
