Added a superior PSU (avoid the Kolink) - proven MB with UK RMA. I didn't add a conventional drive as you hadn't listed one above - but factor in another £40 if needed.

Note you ideally need 3000+ memory for Ryzen as it performs better with faster memory so upgraded your single stick to 3000MHz.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £798.23 (includes shipping: £12.30)

Agreed, but he mentions he'll be adding another stick when prices drop.

Ah, when prices drop ... Amazing fab line doesn't come in for a while.. I'm lacing bets tail end of the year . Have to see how much Samsung pumps out their s9 and note phones and they get ram chips like no tomorrow ;(

Yes, he may have quite a wait as no idea how long the new factory comes online. I doubt they'll be in any hurry with the profits/demand.

Last time prices were this bad were due to factories being hit by earthquakes. :/

What does he do in Revit? Collating multiple contractor models into a top level file takes a hell of a lot more beef than knocking up families of tables and chairs. If he renders, all the more issue.

I've never seen so many permutations for system reqs against one piece of software:

Recommended/Certified cards are listed here: http://www.autodesk.com/revit-graphicshardware
Notice there are no consumer cards on the list.

I used a 980 for a while with Inventor, and performance was really funky at times depending on the complexity of the model, in comparison to a much lower powered workstation card. I' used to be the first to call shenanigans on the need for workstation over consumer graphics, but there's definitely a difference. Most customers I've dealt with who've had aterfacts or sluggish problems with their cards, have been trying to get away with using a consumer card for 10 hrs a day heavy labour.

He says it's fairly basic - creating families and building small structural models. In the future he plans to do small editing of three-link models. (PS. this means nothing to me).
