PC for HD mkv's

Im looking to build a pc for general use & for playing 1080p .264 mkv movies onto my HD tv, my 3200+ struggles......
Could you please spec me a pc that will play HD movies without struggling, but also without costing to much either, dual core cpu, mobo with onboard hd audio with optical out to go to my amp, & with plenty of sata connections, ram, a graphics card & anything else i might need, not worried about gaming as i have 360 & ps3 for that, cheers !!

My spec in sig plays them fine and I paid £600 with delivery I think, excluding the case/monitors/hard drives. Also if your not a gamer you wont need a 8800GT and could get the latest radeon instead as they are about £100 for basic one I think (My 8800GT was £180 IIRC).

Your sig is much to big, the rules say a max of 4 lines.
