I need a new PC build for my teenage nephew. He plays games like fifa, fortnite, call of duty, hell let loose etc, red dead, gta. he hasn't had a PC before, so this will be his first proper one.

can someone help me spec a PC please? No need to include screen/keyboard mouse etc

How much is a Windows license these days?

Ideally he'd like a machine that can play the above titles on high settings with a high FPS of 100-120.

Is this achievable around £600-800?

Cheers

will any m.2 stick labelled with 2280 be ok?

I don't like the P3 Plus, especially for a boot/main drive because it is QLC with (1TB capacity) only 220 TB written rating (SN570 is TLC with 600 TB written rating in 1TB capacity).

If you can't get the SN570, maybe look for the SN770 or SN580.

would this spec be good enough to play games at 120hz?

TPU have the RX 7600 @ 105.3 FPS average (1080p, here, there's a breakdown/chart for each individual game tested at the top), but that's usually at the highest settings (except for ray tracing, which is off), so you should be good.
