PC FPS Recommendations Please

After several months of playing BG3 and D:OS2 I'd like to try some FPS's. It's been a while since I played an FPS so not sure what's out there. Not really played any of the CoD games but no idea which are the ones to get as some have been remade? Will be single player only as well.

I recently completed Black mesa its a fan made remake of Half life, its really well done i enjoyed it a lot. Doom & Doom Eternal are also great fps highly I recommend.

To add to the suggestions already made, the Bioshock series and Prey. The modern (?) CoD Modern Warfare games are good if you want single player, but are very short, 8-9hrs, I find MW3 okay for multiplayer but in short bursts.

Halo, Crysis, Borderlands 2.
Prey has amazing replayability. Similar games from the studio are Dishonored series (not necessarily shooter) and deathloop.

Thanks for all the recommendations. However, now that I've gone through all my game launchers I've found that I've played most of them. Not played Prodeus though and think I'll have another bash at Titanfall 2 since it's ages since I played it.

I'll look into the CoD MW ones too but the CoD franchise always confuses me with their naming as they redo some of them.

Do you want a fast-paced game or a sneaker game? Try Borderlands 2 for the former and Far Cry - the original - for the latter.
