PC FPS with good online communities

What ones are out there? I feel like some online FPS action.

I've already got:

CoD 4
UT 3
Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2142
FEAR 1 + 2
Team Fortress 2

And some older titles.

Any others people can think of with active communities and good online? I lost my counter strike accounts, I could buy those again.

Lol, cause it does. Though personaly found most the good servers to have died. But im more of a vetran, not played properly in many years.

CSS became a sport of 12year old american kids, so I didnt touch it.

NS is still good but not a BIG community, but regular players who are decent

CSS is the best FPS PC game imo.

But then again you really need to be in a clan to enjoy the game to its full potential - great communities arise also.

CSS is bad craic. Hit boxes are huge and you have to mute the entire server

Yeah I agree with the hit boxes - that's one thing I dont like with CSS.. So annoying especially when you're playing against germans >_<

True that, specialy the muting the server. SO IRRITATING. Stupid kids make me want to snap their neck!

What's with the muting the server thing? Are you talking about when people rage because of hit boxes ruining their game? lol

ArmA.

Some very decent people and mature gamers on many of the severs. I've only been playing it online for the past month although I've been losing nights to it without even realising. Not been this engrossed in something online since BF2.

haha i remeber the first day i played BF2 i think i went to bed at like 5am lol.

You know you can just go to audio options and turn the microphone output volume to zero?

yaeh but some people are actually usefull when using a mic in public servers. Obviously use vent for clan work.

For CSS public it's all about finding the right servers. The SD Gaming and ECK ones are Uk and have good communities. There is also quite a good mixes system for 5on5 play if you dont have any mates to play with.
