Hi,

Just recently started getting this where the screen freezes, the sound stutters and repeats and the only way to get out of it is to reset.

Think my sig is pretty much upto date so that's what i am running, temps are fine (40c for cpu under load and maybe a bit less for gpu), running memtest atm so will see if any errors there.

Have had some issues with windows (windows 7) updates failing so am thinking this might be a possibility ?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Sounds like a crash due to OC... As above try stock and see if it works. Failing that worry about windows/clean installing if its corrupt but it sounds more like a pure crash than windows error which is most likely to blue screen not just hang.

Thx, ran memtest for about 4 anf half hours and no errors at all, gpu is stock anyway but i had knocked the cpu back to 4GHz and it still crashed once, will try stock on that and see how it gets on.

The GPU is reached the maximum.

Not sure what you mean ?

Run games in windowed mode. Run monitoring software like MSI Afterburner and something for CPU temps like OCCT. Run stress tests, CPU or GPU, like Unigine, OCCT.

I use Aida64 to monitor temps/usage/voltage, this is with heaven running for about 30 mins @ 2560x1440 on extreme.

Temps seem pretty good so will see how games go on stock settings.

Seems ok atm running stock, will give it a couple more days then have a rethink on the cpu overclock.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
