Hi all,
I have recently had to reinstall windows due to a hard drive fault. I was in the process of installing everything, but when I get to installing the wireless card (which is a bundled PCI card, with the Asus A8V Deluxe motherboard I have), the machine freezes and will not respond to anything (inc. ctrl-alt-del).
I have tried unistalling all software and putting the card back in, but to no avail.
I can't find an entry for the card in Device Manager in order to uninstall the drivers for it quick enough before the machine freezes, and obviously can't uninstall them when the card is not present.
Do I just need to buy a new card, or is there a way of solving this? I'm sure the constant forced rebooting of the PC is not doing the hard disk any good....
Thanks for your help & advice.
