Good day,

Got a question regarding buying a pc from overclockers, been having my eye on one of the gaming rigs around the 2,5k margin, but I have come across some stories that pc's from the UK had some voltage problems in the EU-mainland (I'm from holland). Im well aware that the power cord in the uk is different from the one in holland, but the real trick seems to be the voltage,

which in england is 220-240 V* 50 Hz
and in the Netherlands 220 V 50 Hz

Say if i was to order a pc from offgamers, would it work just fine here? Seems to me it shouldn't give any problems, yet id love to hear before I buy a pc.

Thanks.

The key factor here is the PSU. The same models of PSU are sold in all territories these days. I'm not aware of any PSUs that can't cope with voltages between 220 and 240V - and the majority are happy with 110V supplies from North America too.

In short - that should be no problem. Just use a European kettle lead to connect to the wall socket and you'll be good to go.

Never heard of such a thing
In Scotland the voltage is 246V and that my man is borderline dangerous
It is all up to the power supply
But new ones don't even have a 110V to 220V switch
They will detect the voltage and run accordingly
I see no reason for you to have any problems
