This might be a silly question but I thought I ask you pros before I buy just to be on the safe side!

If I was to buy a PC game from the USA, will it still work without problem on my PC? I know with DVD's and such its different region codes, not sure if its the same on games.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated! :)

Wow, thanks for your super fast reply guys! :) Very impressed! :D

Then I can order the Anno 1701 Gold Edition without having to worry if it will be working or not, cheers! :D

PC games work no matter where they are and where they are from.

The obvious things to look out for are just language support, and if the game requires a patch, sometimes it may need a different version. For example, the U.S release version of said PC game will need the USA version patch, and the European release will need the Euro patch etc.

Otherwise, it is all very simple.

Aye.

I buy all my games from the UK these days as I save 30% on costs that way by not buying from rip off Holland.

Thanks, I will have to remember to download the right patches then! :D

They do work, but here most games do not support english :( Getting them imported is a pain (yay steam!)

Are games that much more expensive in Holland? I am surprised!

Shocking, considering that over here we're constantly being bombarded with "rip-off Britain" stories in the media.

Yep, since I get 85 p for 1 € it's more than worthwhile to buy from the UK for me. I'll get Empire total War special forces for 35 quid delivered to my home, while here the cheapest shop wants 55€ for it...

Also I get ripped off from steam so always make someone from the UK buy it for me as a gift and I paypal him the money.
