PC Game recommendation for a mate.

Can you recommend a decent game to get as a gift.

He's currently playing Arma 2 and Civilisation 5, they play pretty well but his hardware is not the latest spec, and can't afford to upgrade for quite a while yet so BF3 is not gonna run to well.

Was thinking of Anno 2070, is it any good ?

His hardware is fine, not everyone needs to play ultra at 60fps he will still get high on most games at that rez.

That's a very old game isn't it, or do you mean the newest one, I've found Tropico4.
Looks a bit like A Rollercoaster Tycoon type game, don't think he'll like that too much, he likes shooting stuff lol.
He used to play Command and Conquer a lot, but the makers have changed and it looks like the new online games has been turned into a facebookville game

Anno 2070 is good if he likes civ it is similar in a certain aspect but it is quite expensive.
Starcraft 2 is a really good game if he likes strategy games.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and the other games in the series are great too, they will probably be available for next to nothing in the Steam Sale when it starts.
